Housing needs become a budget, commute and service brief.Hello, I'm Martin Zhong Shanghai, China

I connect an understanding of people and their needs with the ability to build practical software.

I started in public administration, learning to ask how institutions, services, and incentives affect everyday life. At Sun Yat-sen University and now as a master’s student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, that interest grew into a habit of looking past assumptions and asking what people actually need.
Adapt to China began as a question: how could everyday life in China become less complicated for people arriving from elsewhere? I founded and continue to operate the platform as a small, focused independent venture combining AI assistance with hands-on human support.
I handle product development, understanding user needs, communication, and service delivery. The work ranges from housing search and rental assistance to pet care, reservations and bookings, Chinese-language phone calls, and practical guidance on everyday life in China. With 5,000+ Instagram views and real service requests, the project has taught me that useful products are defined by whether they help someone complete the next step.
More recently, at YBBE TECH, I have been bringing that hands-on approach into enterprise software. I work across product discovery, AI-assisted development, and workflow prototyping: understanding client needs, turning ambiguous requirements into product specifications, and building and testing software that teams can evaluate and improve.
Collaborating across product, engineering, and business functions, I work on research and laboratory workflow prototypes such as AbTrace and explore meeting intelligence and document-processing workflows. These are prototypes that teams can evaluate before production deployment. The experience has made me more attentive to clear requirements, technical constraints, human review, system reliability, and communication across roles.

I build and operate a small venture helping foreigners navigate everyday life in China, from software and user needs to communication and hands-on service delivery.
Real service requests connect research, software, and the responsibility of helping someone take the next step.Translating client needs into specifications and AI-assisted enterprise prototypes, including AbTrace and document-processing workflows, for teams to test and evaluate.
02 / What I bring
I am interested in work that joins human understanding with technical possibility — and takes responsibility for the result.
Start with people, evidence and context. Discover the constraint that actually matters.
Housing needs become a budget, commute and service brief.Turn ambiguous requests into something people can try, question and improve.
AbTrace turns a module list into role-based research tasks.Use AI-assisted development with sources, failure paths and explicit human review.
A 20-question evaluation set shaped evidence-oriented AI answers.Treat installation, recovery and the handoff as part of the product.
Meetfolio adds model checks, repair and a Windows installer.03 / Outside the screen
Running gives me rhythm. Hiking takes me somewhere unfamiliar. Drawing makes me pay attention. Life outside work is where I recharge and find new perspectives.

Trails across 10 provinces & regions. I also enjoy strength training and the feeling of being a beginner somewhere unfamiliar.
04 / What's next
I’m interested in AI product, enterprise software, product strategy and customer-facing technical solutions.
